We’re an online-first retailer based in Anaheim, California, but for our local fishkeepers, we offer pickup by appointment—because nothing beats a handshake (or a fin wave) in person.
Why the name? KHOI is our founder’s name, and KOI—well, you know those fancy fish people build ponds for? Yeah, them. It’s a pun we’re quite proud of.

Shipping and Handling Information
We ship dry goods within the continental U.S., in 1 business day or same day, if orders are placed before 12 PM (Noon) PT (Pacific Time), because even fish deserve to travel in style. Our shipping partners vary based on speed, cost, and their ability to deliver without asking your fish for ID.
For live fish and plant orders, local pickup only. We provide a 24-hour live arrival guarantee from the time of you leave the store. If your new finned friend doesn’t make it (which we hope never happens), contact us within that window with photos, and we’ll work with you to make things right.
Local Pickup
Want to pick up your order in person? Great! We offer local pickup Monday-Friday, by appointment. Just place your order, then contact us with your order number to coordinate a time.
Need an off-hours pickup? We get it—sometimes, emergencies happen (or maybe you just really want that new filter at 7 PM). We can arrange pickups outside of regular hours for an additional fee.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to love what you buy! Here’s the deal:
Dry Goods: Unopened and unused items can be returned within 14 days of purchase with a 20% restocking fee. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping fees.
Damaged Dry Goods: If your items were received damaged, please contact customer service at hello@khoiskoi.com with photos of the damage within 24 hours of delivery.
Live Fish: Due to the delicate nature of live animals, we do not accept returns on fish orders. Please refer to our live arrival guarantee for any issues.
